Established in 1973 by founding partner, Kinya Taniguchi, AIA, he was joined by H. Mark Ruth, FAIA in 1978, and Michael Makio, AIA, in 1987.  Taniguchi Ruth Makio Architects has over 50 years of experience in architectural, planning, interior design and construction project management services in the CNMI, Guam and Micronesia. Our established design team engineering relationships make coordination efficient and accurate. Through training and continuing education, we keep all of our staff up to date on the latest technology, planning and design code, standards, materials, and technical services.

Taniguchi Ruth Makio Architects is a 15 person professional Architectural firm whose experience encompasses design and management of a wide variety of projects including private sector and public projects for Guam, the CNMI, Hawaii and Palau. Project experience includes Educational, Hospital, and Healthcare facilities, Hotel and Resort, Retail and Office, Airport, Residential facilities, Planning and Interiors. The Firm has built a strong reputation in the planning and designing of facilities in Micronesia for over 50 years.  TRMA has developed a network of people within the region whom we can call upon for specialized skills and resources.
