Elmer Prudente Jr., AIA joined Taniguchi Ruth Makio Architects in 2018 and has since contributed to a wide range of architectural projects across Guam and Saipan, including educational, commercial, residential, and government facilities. His comprehensive project experience ranges from building assessments, master planning, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and contract administration.
Elmer brings a technical foundation to the firm, with proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and a variety of 3D modeling and rendering programs. His expertise allows him to develop conceptual and realistic visualizations, animations, and presentation materials—helping clients fully envision their projects before construction begins.
Elmer is passionate about creating architecture that is both environmentally responsible and centered on human well-being. This commitment led him to pursue credentials as a LEED Accredited Professional in 2021 and become the first locally based WELL Accredited Professional in 2022 which is an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring organizational strategies and features of the built environment that impact human health and well-being. He actively applies these principles in his work, contributing to LEED projects such as the Guam Army National Guard Readiness Center and facilities for Northern Marianas College and Guam Community College. Through thoughtful, research-driven design, Elmer aims to create spaces that support the health, comfort, and long-term resilience of the communities they serve.
