The Concourse Isolation Project’s main objective was to separate the arrivals from departures; the design modernizes & optimizes the passenger experience, and engages arriving passengers to the airport by providing a sense of welcome. To achieve these objectives, the existing GIAA Terminal Building’s structural systems was upgraded and retrofitted to accommodate the new integrated third floor Sterile Corridor System.

Arriving passengers from the Concourse Level will dock via the new building Pods at designated gates and will ascend to the new third floor Sterile Corridor System which will collect all arriving passengers at the Terminal’s core and descend to the Immigration Hall for processing.
