The Sheraton Laguna Resort is a conversion of the original Palace Hotel. TRMA, was the architect for the Palace Hotel which was built in 1988. Working closely with Kanko Kikaku Sekkeisha, the client’s interior designer and landscape architect, the hotel was re-imaged as a five-star Sheraton. The resort is organized around a water theme with new lagoon pools, water features, waterfalls, and an infinity-edge swimming pool. The water theme is carried into the hotel where a series of pools and fountains define the 11-story central atrium.
